During the 2026 World Cup final, US President Donald Trump drew boos from the crowd after remaining on the podium for Spain's victory photo. FIFA President Gianni Infantino attempted to guide him away, but was unsuccessful. In response, the Spanish Football Federation removed Trump from their celebration images, while FIFA cropped him out of official photos. Conversely, the White House released photos highlighting Trump over the winning team.
